About the Geography Teaching Assistant Role
In this Geography Teaching Assistant post, you will be working mainly within the community-feel Humanities faculty. You will have the responsibility of assisting with lesson plans and ensuring the school's ethos of creativity is continued. In general, you will be progressing your abilities by working closely with a mentor Class Teacher who will tutor you through the rest of the academic year preparing you for a successful career. You will be allotted designated periods away from the classroom for extensive training exercises as part of the school's aim to provide every staff member with continued professional development concentrated on any areas they want. In this post, you will be working closely with gifted and overachieving pupils as well as struggling children who may not meet internal/external targets without your help.
