A well-established and well-accredited firm, with a long history in the Brighton area and other offices in London and on the South Coast, our client provides a comprehensive service to clients including schools and providers of higher education, companies, charities, churches and private individuals including trustees. A vacancy has now arisen for a solicitor to assist the firm’s managing director with his caseload of private client work. This is a very challenging mix of work and the firm is looking for someone who is confident, proactive and has exceptional client-care skills. You will be dealing with a general mix of clients including elderly clients, high-net-worth individuals, agricultural land owners and business owners ranging from start-up entrepreneurs to highly successful companies. Clients also include charities, family trusts and Deputies working with the Public Guardianship Office. Matters can include advising on tax planning, wills, family and charitable trusts and probate including beneficiaries or property outside the UK.
This a high-level role, and the firm is looking for applications from ambitious lawyers with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE gained within a very reputable private client team who are looking to commit to a long-term, challenging career move;
With exceptional client care skills, able to explain complex matters in accessible, empathetic language;
Experience in dealing with cross-border work would be an advantage, as would STEP membership or similar;
With very strong drafting skills, good time-management and a focused, detailed approach.
