We are looking to immediately employ a full time Gardener to help us in maintaining the grounds of the prestigious Milton Park located at Abingdon in Oxfordshire, just minutes off the A34. This award winning business park houses the headquarters of some of the country's best known organisations. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to develop a career within the grounds maintenance sector.
Nurture provides landscape maintenance teams at some of the UK's most prestigious commercial centres as well as some of the most iconic public spaces. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
You will be part of a team of full time gardeners engaged in all aspects of the estate from general grounds maintenance to maintaining ecological areas and water features within this multi BALI award winning site. Meticulous attention to detail and the many differing aspects of Horticulture make this a rewarding place to work.
You must be able to demonstrate an interest in horticultural together with some horticultural skills and experience – ideally from within a similar environment.
We’re looking for a candidate who can show some or all of the following qualifications and experience;
Relevant Qualification and Training:
(Ideally one or more of the qualifications listed below)
•City and Guilds/NVQ Amenity Horticulture Stage I and II or equivalent.
•HND Amenity Horticulture or equivalent.
•RHS General Horticulture or equivalent.
•National Certificate in Horticulture or equivalent.
•PA1/PA6 in Spraying.
Skills and Experience:
•Minimum of 1 years’ experience of Corporate and/or Local Authority Grounds Maintenance.
•Practical use of ride on mowers, hedge trimmers, strimmers, scarifiers, tractor driving.
•Previous experience of bedding out, pruning and lawn edging.
•A demonstrable ability to establish and sustain good working relationship within a team environment or the ability and initiative to work alone.
•Aptitude to communicate effectively with colleagues and members of the public.
•Holds valid driving licence preferably with legal and practical ability to use a trailer.

Nurture Landscapes Profile:
The key service of Nurture Landscapes Ltd is the provision of an external landscape maintenance service to the Corporate and Public Sector throughout the UK.
1. Landscape Maintenance to the Corporate and Private Sector including Tree Surgery
This is the provision of a landscape maintenance service to all types of corporate sites e.g. business parks, corporate headquarters, hotels, superstores, etc. This service is provided via a static service or mobile service.
2. Landscape Maintenance to the Public Sector
This is the provision of grounds maintenance to schools and housing associations.
3. Interior Plants, Cut Flowers including Christmas trees
This is the provision of interior plant displays and cut flowers to many of our corporate/business park/hotel clients.
4. Design and Build Construction
A Design and Build service is provided to our existing contract base seeking to improve/upgrade their sites. We also under take some private work in the Surrey, Berkshire and West/Central London areas
